Linux is cool

Tux

Linux is the best operating system on this planet, I mean look at this adorable penguin, how could you possibly reject it?

With big corporations such as Microsoft tightening the usage of our computers, one must think "is there a way out of this corporate distopian future?"

Well good sir, yes there is! May I present to you: Linux, the future of freedom and the operating system as we know it!

What are the advantages of Linux?

Well I'm glad you asked! Linux grants you freedom of choice, no more data collection, no more forced updates! (Unless you use Ubuntu)

Linux allows you to update whenever you want! Windows forces you to update when it wants to; now we can't have that can we? Imagine updating when you want to

Linux does not collect your data! You can experience true privacy!

It's FREE! Windows isn't free, they ask you for an arm and a leg and you don't even truly own it at that point, linux has got you covered there.

How hard is it to set up?

Linux can be a challenge for those who are unfamiliar with it, but fear not for there are many people on youtube who can help you out!

Step 1: Choose a distro

Choosing a distro is up to you, Manjaro or Mint are usually good starters. If you're new to linux, probably avoid distros like Arch for now

Step 2: Find where to get the distro

Find the official website for the distro, do some research on youtube about the best way to install it. WARNING: Research everything thoroughly!

Step 3: Back up everything important!

I cannot overstate this enough, just back up your stuff.

Step 4: Install Linux

Will my games work on Linux?

Gaming on Linux has vastly improved over the years, you can try programs like Wine and Proton to help you in your gaming.

Okay, but what about Mac?

Mac sucks
